Tom has always wanted to be a broadcaster, growing up in Preston on a diet of butter pies and Radio 2. He got his first job at a local station, Rock FM, at the age of 14, making tea for the presenters and helping out where he could.
This quickly led to his first on air break and making press for being the ‘UKS Youngest Commercial Radio Presenter.
After this it was a trip to Leeds University to study International Business Management, alongside hosting The Weekend Breakfast Show on Capital FM.
Upon leaving university he gained his first full time radio gig on THE HITS, a national DAB station owned by Bauer Media in Manchester. Within two years he made the move to KISS FM to host the evening slot, taking that show to number 1 in London. An accolade it has never received before or since.
From that point his career moved quickly, appearance on ITV 2 panels shows and hosting coverage backstage at The BRIT Awards for 4MUSIC followed. It was Tom’s ability to interview guests that helped him gain notoriety, often going viral and flying out to LA to cover film premiers for Disney. It was at this stage he was picked up by ODEON cinemas to host all their red carpet content.
In 2019 Tom was selected to replace the legendary Ricky, Melvin and Charlie on the KISS FM Breakfast show. This show took the nation through a difficult time, the COVID pandemic and was nominated for the highly competitive ARIA award of Best Music Entertainment show. It was during his time, in an interview with GQ magazine, that Tom realised he needed to find a hobby outside of work, something to do post those 4am wake up and radio finishing at 10am. He rekindled his childhood love for golf.
Unfortunately, that hobby didn’t stay only as a hobby for long. After a chance encounter on the golf course with fellow radio presenter and comedian, Tom Price, they decided to launch the Golf Is Ruining My Life podcast. Within 4 years it had become the biggest independent golf podcast in the country, racking up 60,000 downloads a month and 1m a
week across social media.
Working with household names like McDonalds, PING, The PGA Tour and Golf Breaks. It is this podcast which will be touring the country in summer 2026.
Tom currently juggles hosting the mid morning show on HITS RADIO, to a weekly audience of 1.6m as well as the Golf Is Ruining My Life podcast, twice a week. He lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and sausage dog, Turtle. He is hoping to use his presenting skills and experience of navigating a highly competitive industry to help others.
At the age of 31 he has packed an awful lot in his life so far and feels through hours of live on air broadcasting and building a golf brand from scratch he might be able to help businesses motivate to hit their next targets and find innovative ways to tell their own brand stories.
