If so, you’re in the right place!Do you have experience in a Compliance/Auditing role and are passionate about maintaining high standards in Apprenticeship provision? We’re hiring a Data & Compliance Officer to join our team and ensure compliance with ESFA funding regulations whilst guiding our efforts towards industry best practices. This will be on a part-time hybrid work setup and therefore the successful applicant will be based within commuting distance of our office in Prescot (L34 1PJ).
We need someone who can:
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ESFA funding regulations
- Advise on maintaining good standards in Apprenticeship provision
- Review processes and procedures for continuous improvement
- Stay updated on industry standards and communicate changes effectively
- Develop and deliver an annual programme of assurance engagements
- Oversee and support the development and delivery of a programme of internal compliance testing
- Actively maintain and develop lines of communication for efficient business-wide dissemination of information related to changes of procedures and sharing the best practices
- Provide appropriate support and meaningful information for reports to be delivered to the Executive Board, the Senior Leadership Team, and other business areas as necessary
- Recommend continuous improvements regularly, ensuring that policies, procedures, documentation, and other materials stay up to date with regulatory changes
- Facilitate and support business quality delivery, working in conjunction with our Quality Skills Lead to ensure KPIs exceed expectations in all deliverable areas
- Develop and maintain assurance processes and procedures
- Ensure key performance indicators are in place and quality and financial targets are met
- Support Administration departments to achieve timely quality and financial targets
- Plan, manage, and control resource requirements to meet and achieve quality, timely deliverables
- Review process, procedures, and risk assessments regularly to ensure they are up to date
For this role you’ll need to have:
- Proven experience in auditing and advising on standards
- Deep understanding of ESFA funding regulations
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Relevant qualifications in auditing or related field preferred
- A minimum of 3 years maintaining compliance and managing FE apprenticeship data / funding returns
- Proven working knowledge of using management systems to submit learner data
- Experience of ESFA audit inspections and being responsible for internal audits
- Significant proven direct experience inputting and verifying, analysing, reporting, and resolving learner data
- Confidence in discussing data documentation needs with individuals and businesses
- Educated to A level/B-Tech standard with relevant IT or equivalent qualifications
- Experience of using PDSAT, ESFA (IDAMS / Submit Learner Data, AFED etc.)
- Competent Excel user with strong IT skills
- A full enhanced DBS check – online checks will take place for candidates who are shortlisted
