Adam Peaty OBE

Olympic Champion Adam Peaty MBE is the only swimmer in history to hold all major global championships at the same time and the only British swimmer to ever retain their Olympic title. He holds 17 of the top 20 fastest times for the 100m breaststroke and has broken that World Record 14 times.

Adam has repeatedly made history in the pool since his first major success at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, including being the first man to swim under 58 and subsequently 57 seconds in the 100m breaststroke.

At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games he became the first British swimmer in history to retain his Olympic title and most recently at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Adam made his comeback following a break to focus on his mental health. Achieving a silver medal in one of the closest races of the competition and just 0.02 seconds behind the gold medal time, Adam redefined what it meant to win as his pride and humility shone through in his post-race media and embrace with his son.

Deservedly, Adam was awarded an OBE in the 2022 New Years honours list for services to swimming and services to mental health. A passionate advocate for mental health, Adam is a candid and relatable role model to the younger generation as well as an established presence in both the media and corporate speaking scene.

With a passion for inspiring the next generation, Adam launched AP Race Clinics in 2019 with a vision to revolutionise swim clinics by teaching young swimmers how to race. Continuing to successful engage children through their UK clinics, AP Race expanded to Saudi Arabia in 2024, establishing and providing a swimming pathway for children at international schools.

With an abundance of medals and World Records to his name, Adam is a driving force for change in swimming and a passionate figurehead in breaking down the stigmas surrounding mental health. He is redefining what it means to win and cementing a legacy for himself and swimming as he looks ahead to LA 2028.
