Having appeared as a mystery guest on “they think it’s all over”, done backflips for Kylie Minogue and a judge alongside Nadia Comaneci on the BBC1’s celebrity gymnastics tv show “Tumble”, he has lots of stories to tell.

Starting out life on a dairy farm in Lancashire seems a million miles away from competing in at an Olympic Games, however Craig believes the work ethic instilled on his parent’s farm gave him an instant advantage over his sporting rivals and why he was the only male gymnast to represent Great Britain at the 2000 Olympic Games, where he hit his Personal Best score.

As a kid growing up in a “not so cool sport” built his resilience and his “dare to be different” “run your own race” attitude. Qualities he believes are needed for success in sport, business and a happy life.

Wanting to prove the skill set from elite sport is the same as in business, Craig is a real entrepreneur with several businesses to his name.  His most recent and biggest project so far was setting up a “not for profit” Gymnastics and activity centre. Due to the same planning and skillset he adopted to his training the business pretty much broke even in the first month and has gone from a handful of staff at opening to around thirty, whilst surviving the pandemic and becoming a real part of the local community.

You might also here Craig’s dulcet tones on the tv as he covers European, World, Commonwealth and Olympic Games for the BBC.

Craig is an upbeat, interactive, engaging presenter with a humorous delivery style while touching on some great tips for success.

Craig has the ability to engage and motivate pupils to make every child want to participate. His great sense of humour and lively personality coupled with his astonishing skills captivated both pupils and teachers alike. He has a very down to earth approach and by telling pupils how he developed his skills and progressed from club work to national and international competition he presents pupils with not only a model of success but with a pathway to follow from school to club-link and beyond. The experience of seeing and touching a gold medal was a memorable moment for all.
“Craig presented at the Lincolnshire Sport and Physical Activity Awards 2019.  Craig held the attention of the audience for the whole evening with his thoughtful and engaging questions to our winners and fantastic off the cuff raffle, he really made the night a celebration of Sport and Physical Activity in Lincolnshire. He was able to mix the serious and inspirational stories of the night with his electric and funny personality to provide the audience with a truly entertaining and memorable evening. Craig was also fantastic in the build up to the evening arriving early and thoroughly preparing for each award with information about each winner. Overall a very professional speaker who we would highly recommend.”
