A BBC stalwart, Rob anchored the ‘red button’ coverage for virtually every major sporting event, and fronted numerous documentaries and outside broadcasts, including the 50th Anniversary series marking the end of WWII, The Boat Show, Railwatch, airshows and a music series for BBC Education, for whom he also presented the award-winning current affairs series Issues. He hosted all 9 series of BBC1’s popular quiz show Turnabout, presented the BBC’s regional news programmes London Plus and Newsroom South East and more recently has been anchoring Eurosport’s tennis coverage.

In addition to conference hosting, Rob is also an experienced after dinner speaker.
In his after-dinner speeches, Rob peels back the underlay from the magic carpet of television. He reveals some of the horror stories of presenting live news and sports programmes, many from his own bitter personal experience. He takes you behind the scenes of The London Olympics, and talks of his time on Beadle’s About when he nearly gave the game away whilst filming The World’s Best Ever Hidden Camera Stunt.
Rob hosts the UK’s No1 aviation podcast ‘Top Landing Gear’, think of it as Top Gear with wings, a light-hearted look at the world of aviation with seriously good guests.
