The brothers wanted to create something unique, driven by their personal passion after the tragic loss of their parents in the Boxing Day Tsunami. Rob & Paul founded Gandys with the visions to fund their charitable foundation; ‘Orphans for Orphans’ supporting children in need and to create a legacy in their parents’ name.
The brothers wanted to do something innovative that would reflect the vibrant, bohemian upbringing they had. They thought the best way to express all of the different cultures they experienced on their travels was to create a lifestyle brand with the ethos of Explore & Inspire.
Rob & Paul are dedicated to tying to create a better future for fellow Orphans, as it was the children of Sri Lanka that helped the brothers and their younger sibling to survive and escape. Gandys has built it’s very own children’s home in Sri Lanka to mark the 10 year anniversary of the Tsunami.
