General (R) Olivier Kempf is a private sector consultant. In 2016, he was in charge of the entire digital transformation and cyber defence policy at the French Army General Staff, one of the most critical sectors in France.

Marked by the lack of communication that exists between cyber security and digital transformation, Olivier Kempf is one of the few professionals in France able to address both the disruption of organisations as it is caused by digital transformation as well as the challenges related to cyber defence systems.
Olivier Kempf is also the Publication Director of “La Vigie”, a bimonthly newsletter of strategic analysis launched in 2014 offering a French vision of strategic questions of geopolitics or military strategy and heads the Cyber strategy collection at Economica.
Today he works as a consultant on strategies, digital transformation, cyber security, and access to defence markets. His customers are private companies, large or SMEs, French or foreign.
He is also doctor in Political Science, and associate fellow in the Fondation de la Recherche Stratégique (FRS) at the origin of French cyber strategy thinking. He teaches in many institutions such as Sciences-Po Paris, the École de guerre and at HEC and is also the author of numerous publications and books such as “Geopolitics of France” in 2013 and “Introduction to cyber strategy” in 2012
