David Garrido

David has been a national and international broadcaster for more than 25 years, currently at Sky Sports, having been previously at BBC Sport. Along with hosting numerous Transfer Deadline Days, he has presented live Premier League, EFL and LaLiga football, and made two documentaries.  David has also MC-ed many industry’s like Soccerex, SportsPro, World Football Summit, Web Summit and SXSW.

David is known for his confident and conversational presenting and interviewing style, putting his audience at ease, his deep knowledge of sports business and industry trends, and his impeccable contacts book.  His specialisms include tech and innovation, climate and sustainability, purpose and impact.  Away from Sky, David works with governing bodies like UEFA, the FIA and R&A, progressive sports like SailGP and Formula E, high-performing teams like Chelsea and McLaren Racing, and also other entities like the United Nations.

Born of Colombian parents, David speaks Spanish fluently and studied French & German at Oxford University – and he has used these language skills in his hosting commitments.

David enjoys getting involved early in the creative and production process, contributing with session curation and securing speakers, and he is used to the constantly changing atmosphere of events, able to adjust adroitly and never be adversely affected.  David is a creatively-minded individual, constantly pushing the boundaries and always striving for the best output.
