Benedict Townsend is a writer and online comedian best known for presenting the hit internet news show Scroll Deep and co-hosting the film and TV podcast Talk of the Townsends with his wife, Hannah.
With over 400,000 followers across his personal social media accounts, Benedict has gone viral numerous times for his hilarious videos covering everything from current affairs to his cat, Suki. In 2024, he performed a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Benedict is widely recognised for his deep understanding and appreciation of internet culture. His show Scroll Deep (formerly YouTuber News) is created, written, and hosted by him, and has built a global audience across Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube. The show boasts over 3 million followers and has received more than 22 million likes on TikTok alone. He is also the creator of the podcast Vine: Six Seconds That Changed The World, which charted in both the UK and US.
In 2024, Benedict began presenting on Radio X and now appears regularly on national broadcasts. He has conducted viral video interviews with a wide range of stars, including Margot Robbie, Paul Rudd, and Jim Carrey.
