Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson is Britain’s greatest Paralympic athlete and is acknowledged as one of the most gifted and courageous sportswomen of her generation.

She competed in five Paralympic Games, winning 11 Gold Medals, and is acknowledged as one of the most gifted and courageous sportswomen of her generation. In addition to her outstanding Paralympic achievements, between 1992 and 2002 she won the London Wheelchair Marathon six times. Since retirement Tanni has become an influential voice in sports administration, politics and society.
Tanni made significant contributions to London 2012 as Vice Chair of the Athletes Commission, is President of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, a UNICEF ambassador and sits on the board of Transport for London. In 2010 she was elevated to the cross benches of the House of Lords as an independent cross-bench ‘people’s’ peer. With a special interest in youth, health, sport and disability she has already made a significant impression, nominated for Peer of the Year in only her second year.
Tanni’s achievements, intelligence and eloquence have made her a favourite with corporate clients. From overcoming the challenges of disability to reaching the peak of her game, maintaining performance levels and adapting to a new political career she has a wealth of experience to share and does so with a lively sense of humour. A very strong communicator, she is brilliant at motivating and inspiring an audience.
