Sam Thompson is a treasured English television personality and radio presenter, best known for appearing on the E4 reality series Made in Chelsea. From being crowned king of the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! jungle to being a contestant on SAS: Who Dares Wins, and most recently raising over £1.5m for UNICEF, Sam is admired for his positive attitude and mentality, even whilst facing high-pressure situations.
In 2025, Sam completed the ultimate test of endurance, successfully transporting the Soccer Aid for UNICEF match ball more than 260 miles from last year’s stadium, Stamford Bridge in London, to the home of this year’s match, Old Trafford in Manchester. Pushing himself to the limit, Sam battled injuries and all the elements as he took on five back-to-back days of gruelling running and cycling between iconic football stadiums across the country – all to raise vital funds to support UNICEF’s work for children around the world.
An exhausted Sam’s final morning began in the rain at 5am and as he travelled on foot and bike through Warrington, Stretford and even the Coronation Street cobbles before finally delivering the match ball to Old Trafford where he was met at the finish line by crowds of cheering supporters. The money raised from Sam’s challenge will support UNICEF’s work for children around the world to grow up safe, healthy and able to play.
In 2023, Sam’s understanding of himself and how he interacts with the world altered when he received his diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Since learning more about his condition, he has made it his mission to increase awareness of how ADHD can affect individuals throughout society in many different ways.
