Joe is the author of Touching the Void, which went on to win the NCR Award and the Boardman Tasker Award. Some of his later books include This Game of Ghosts – the sequel to Touching the Void, Dark Shadows, Storms of Silence and Falling.
Joe has recently spent 5 weeks filming in remote parts of Burma, following in his late fathers’ footsteps who served there during the Second World War. The BBC has shown interest in Joe’s personal quest.
