After nearly thirty years as a stand‑up comedian — performing all over the world and appearing on numerous TV and radio shows — he decided it was time to write something that didn’t require him to be on stage to deliver it.
His debut novel, Death & Croissants, was published in 2021 and became a Times Bestseller. It has since been translated into a dozen languages and optioned for television. He has written three follow‑up books and launched a new, critically acclaimed crime series featuring Juge Lombard.
His television and radio appearances include Richard Osman’s House of Games, The Comedy Store on Comedy Central, The Now Show on BBC Radio 4, and Fighting Talk on BBC 5 Live.
Ian has been a much sought-after awards host and after dinner comedian for nearly fifteen years and is regularly trusted by all the large corporate booking agencies.
He has performed all over the world, sometimes in front of thousands and once in front of nine Harley Davison executives in a hotel suite.
