In 1990, along with family and friends of Anne Frank’s father, Gillian Walnes Perry MBE set up the Anne Frank Trust UK as a partner organisation of the world-famous Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The Trust is a not for profit educational charity in the United Kingdom which uses Anne Frank’s powerful and tragic story to help young people understand and challenge prejudice and hatred, and embrace positive attitudes, responsibility and respect for others.

Gillian Perry MBE is an inspirational speaker, educator, and social entrepreneur best known as the founder of the Anne Frank Trust UK, which she established in 1990 alongside family and friends of Anne Frank’s father, Otto Frank. Over the following 26 years, Gillian transformed the charity into a nationally recognised organisation that uses Anne Frank’s powerful story to challenge prejudice, discrimination, and hatred, while empowering young people to become confident leaders and active citizens.

A leading authority on inspirational leadership, overcoming adversity, resilience, diversity and inclusion, and youth empowerment, Gillian has dedicated her career to helping individuals and organisations understand the importance of respect, responsibility, and positive social change.

Through her work with the Anne Frank Trust UK, Gillian has overseen educational programmes reaching tens of thousands of young people across schools, prisons, and community settings throughout the UK. Her work has extended internationally, launching exhibitions and educational initiatives across Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, and North America, making her a truly global advocate for education and social impact.

Gillian’s expertise and influence have led her to speak at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including 10 Downing Street, the Houses of Parliament, the United Nations in New York, and the Clinton Presidential Library. She has advised government leaders, worked alongside world-renowned public figures, and in 2016 was invited to contribute to educational policy discussions with Michelle Obama’s policy team at the White House.

In recognition of her significant contribution to education and community engagement, Gillian was appointed MBE by Her Majesty The Queen in 2010. She has also received numerous humanitarian awards and has been recognised as one of Britain’s most inspirational women.

Today, Gillian continues to captivate audiences through her keynote presentations on The Life and Legacy of Anne Frank, leadership, personal resilience, and social responsibility.
