Former Notts County Ladies goalkeeper, Carly Telford, is an English football goalkeeper that currently features in the current Women’s England International squad. She is a brilliant talent that has a multitude of experience both nationally and internationally.

The experienced goal keeper began her career at Leeds United before signing up to the Chelsea squad in 2011. She was made captain of the team in 2012 during the FA Cup final. Her highlight of the time with the Chelsea team was playing in the first Women’s FA Cup final held at Wembley Stadium. However, at the end of 2013, Telford left for Notts County, which she played for until they folded in April 2017.

Telford has also had the chance to play with international teams such as Australian club Perth Glory, which she was on loan to during her time with Chelsea. The goalkeeper rejoined Chelsea in 2017, and has proved herself an important part of the team making a total of 10 appearances in all competitions.

Furthermore, Telford made her debut with the Women’s England team in 2007, and has since been part of two World Cup squads. Most recently, she was selected for the 2017 European Championship squad and won a bronze medal in 2015 with the Lionesses in Canada. She has previously been apart of the under-17, under-19, under-23 England squads. In 2009, Telford was one of 17 female players to be given central contacts by The Football Association.
