On retiring from athletics Steve formed the hugely successful PAC training brand delivering detailed workshops and training programmes for coaches in a number of different sports. He is also a Lead Commentator for the BBC.
20 years of competing at the highest level in athletics has given Steve a tremendous experience of the pressures of competing against the best in the world. Steve has condensed this knowledge into a way that all areas of business can benefit from. He gives specific insights into how to get the best from yourself and how to deal with failure.
Steve defines three main attributes that he believes lead to success self-belief, motivation and application. Winning is more than just natural talent and we all have the ability to tap into these natural sources to make the ultimate difference on the day. With a background in sports psychology Steve focuses heavily on the mental preparation involved and offers insight into his ability to peak for major championships. He links his theories with his own sporting achievements adding humorous anecdotal tales, behind the scenes snippets and the low down on his rivalry with fellow Czech competitor, Jan Zelezney.
