Gemma Longworth

Gemma has a ‘have a go’ attitude which is how she ended up on our TV screens, joining TV stars in popular UK TV shows. She is the presenter and furniture upcycler on Channel 4’s award winning daytime TV show Find It, Fix It, Flog It, the popular restoration show on which she restores and upcycles the nations preloved items into treasured pieces of furniture. In 2024, the show is moved to a primetime slots on UK TV’s Yesterday Channel.

Gemma loves showing the audience fun, cost effective ways to reuse their unloved items. She has also appeared on CBBC’s Saturday Mash Up where she was challenged to teach her interior design skills to Stanley! Gemma is a proud Scouser with a good sense of humour and a passion for all things arts and crafts. She graduated from university in 2008 with a degree in Applied Arts and a Masters in Textiles, focussing her postgraduate studies on art as a therapeutic tool.

Gemma works at local children’s hospital Alder Hey in bereavement services, working with the children creatively as a form of distraction, entertainment, spiritual wellness, therapy and self expression. During her time at the hospital she produces art activity resources for children to work through the stages of bereavement in a creative and positive way. Continuing this mission of supporting people through bereavement, Gemma has created ‘Hidden Gems’, a creative bereavement support group which helps children and young adults affected by death. Gemma runs these sessions at hospitals and local centres.
