Dr Tim Jones

With a PhD in Innovation Performance and three Masters Degrees, Tim is an expert in his field. For over twenty-five years Tim has worked with many leading multinationals, governments and universities identifying emerging opportunities: A leader in collaborative programmes, Tim has made his name in helping organisations to see the world through a different lens and so reveal new areas for potential growth.

Tim is also Programme Director of the Future Agenda, the world’s largest open foresight programme. He leads the annual Innovation Leaders analysis that profiles the companies making the most of their innovation investments; and is also co-founder of a global expert network, The Growth Agenda.

Initially supported by Vodafone Group in 2010, the Future Agenda research project is now in its fifth year. It is a major cross-discipline project that unites some of the best minds from around the globe to address the greatest challenges of the next decade. In doing so, it maps out the major issues, identifies potential solutions, suggests the best ways forward and provides a unique open platform for collective innovation.

Tim is also part of Innovation Leaders, a 16-year long research programme that identifies and profiles the companies across 20 sectors that are making the most of their innovation capabilities. It has been used extensively to inform organisations on the most successful innovation approaches used across industry.
