Formerly a PE teacher, Kate is one of the most experienced performance psychologists in Olympic sport in the UK having worked with Team GB athletes and medallists at seven Olympic Games. She has also built a strong reputation as a high-performance coach and facilitator with leaders and executives in European and global businesses. Clients have included LEGO, Morgan Stanley, Pfizer, ASDA, and Laing O’Rourke.
She is at her best when working to understand and solve performance questions asked by individuals, teams, and organisations. Alongside being a Chartered Psychologist with a PhD in Athlete Burnout, she was also mentored for 10 years by best-selling author of the Chimp Paradox and Consultant Psychiatrist Professor Steve Peters.
Kate immediately engages audiences with a delivery style that is quick paced and responsive to the room. From the outset she challenges audiences to think differently about themselves and others and to immediately apply new insights they gain.
Through storytelling that resonates, humour, and relatable examples from everyday life at work and home, she brings the mechanics of mindset to life. Through understanding what mindset is, what can make a mindset hard to shift, and how to create ‘the right’ mindset she enables audiences to develop new ways of thinking and responding to performance challenges.
