Ben rowed for Great Britain for almost a decade, competing at six World Championships and three Olympic Games. The Olympic Gold Medalist & London 2012 Ambassador is one of the most sought after motivational speakers and a world class performance coach.
The highlight of his sporting career came at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 when he was a member of the Men’s Eight that won the Gold Medal, becoming the first British winners of the event since 1912. Following success in Sydney, Ben received an MBE that year in the New Years Honours list. Although Ben no longer competes he is still actively involved in the Sports world. He was an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympic Games and is involved in the management and administration of rowing as a member of The Amateur Rowing Association Council.
Ben Hunt-Davis’s story is of how a diverse group of individuals, who as international athletes were incredibly average, came together to form a team. A team that could learn from setbacks and failures, become process driven whilst being innovative and use a common goal to drive them forward in the same direction enabling them to achieve their dream.
